Concert with León Ferrari´s sound sculptures

"I think that divisions are very appropriated in botany, where there is an intrinsic need to put labels. In art, it is absolutely dispensable. It is possible to touch my sculptures with the hands, with an arch of violin, however it is wanted. I feel a strong connection with a non figurative music, which I’ve been working on with the sounds produced by my own sculptures, as designs that I do without understanding. Rational comprehension is not enough. As the time goes by, I ask myself more frequently what is what I really understand and so I keep discovering that this premise, that was so important for me, is losing its power.
